Mac User Group Presentation!
Saturday, March 25th, 2006
Last Friday, March 17th, Sakura, Takase, Jonas, David and Peter gave a presentation at the Apple Store in Ginza for the Mac User Group, a great group of over acheivers! The presentation went extremely well as the Mac User Group went out of their way to make sure everything went off without a hitch. We would especially like to thank Bob-san (front row, red tie) for the invitation, as this forum provided us with an excellent chance to speak about what we are doing and meet some of our listeners! Quite a few showed up, including one from Florida!! (Although he was in town on family business, we like to think he came to see us!)
Afterwards we went to a nearby pub, and chatted the night away! For those interested in Mac, this is the group for you! Furthermore, if you’re just interested in meeting a great bunch of interesting people, this group is also for you! For more info: Mac User Group
Yoroshiku o-negai shimasu!よろしくおねがいします。

Wow, cool! It looks like you’d a really great time!
I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to write comments or listen to your podcast last week, but I was ill so I didn’t used the computer so much.
See you

Hi Rina-san,
In the latest News podcast, Peter-san mentions that he’s seen a few in Tokyo recently. Hopefully you’ll get to see them next week!

Mac User Group, thank you for giving us the great opportunity!
Rina-san, last week I didn’t notice much sakura in bloom, but this week, they are quickly opening up. I hear they will be in full bloom this coming weekend, so next week, you might see the petals falling down like snow. Very good timing

Dear Sakura-San and Nathan-San,
Thank you for the good news. My family and I are all very excited about seeing the blossoms. Wish us luck!

Glad to find out about the Mac group, I’ve been looking for one in Tokyo. Will definitely attend the next meeting.
I enjoy the daily podcasts although I’m hoping for more and more advanced Japanese!
It’s a little late, but I just listened to the podcast about fast food…I was wandering around Harajuku and found Nathan’s Original Hot Dogs, never had them in California but they have the best hot dogs I’ve ever had, even in America! (100% Beef, too) Costco has the good dogs but don’t taste the same since they switched to pork.
Nathans also has burgers, chicken sandwiches and even cheesesteaks, but I haven’t gotten past the chili dogs yet! It’s just off the main street in Ometesando next to Baby Gap, and you can get a map to the other locations, there’s about 5, one in Chiba station…
Thanks again for the Podcasts!

Tom-san,
Thanks for the info - I think that’s a great brand name

Maybe this is a good place to ask my Mac software question.
We have a lot of great English educational software: Jumpstart, Didi & Ditto, and Learn To Play Chess With Fritz And Chesster are the best, Reader Rabbit is next best.
But, we have a real tough time finding really good Japanese Educational software. The best we have found is Buzz Lightyear; but, it runs in Classic OS 9; it is not OS X native.
Do you know of any really good (that means tons of fun for the kids) Japanese Educational software that is OS X native (and, soon to be Universal Binary, too, I suppose) that is good for Kindergarten through 2nd grade? (I know, the software is usually good for one grade at a time; I mean software for those age groups.)
Thanks!!!

Bob-san,
I’m afraid I can’t help you out too much in that area, but I would suggest asking your question on the most current post. Not too many people check back very far for new comments, so I think you’ll get a better response there. Good luck!
