Please join me in thanking our good friend and devoted listener Athena-San (aka Athara) for taking the time out to register Japanesepod101 on Frappr. For those of you who are not familiar with it, Frapper, which stands for Friend Mapper, is an online tool that lets you map out the city where you live or work, share photos, and leave messages.

So put yourself on the map by clicking here.

I’m amazed it found my town, new zealand is usually left of most maps like this haha. although you can’t zoom in on us very far haha.

Ps. cool to see the pics and stuff :)

  4. avatar Bennity Says:

Quite a few people from Germany it seems.

  5. avatar Jason Says:

Jay-san, the weird thing is that it can find the small town I went to school at (which is what I ended up using), but it can’t find the freakin’ capital city. :???:

  6. avatar Nathan Says:

    Very fun idea

  7. avatar steve Says:

    Hello All.
I have added myself to frapper.com…But only for a little while. I never feel 100 per-cent secure with such things.
David Hallgren I have noticed that you live in Kodaira, which is the same area my friend lives.

  8. avatar steve Says:

Mmmmm! I have removed myself from fropper…Sorry….the more I thought aboput it the less comfortable I felt about it…Not sure if I really like the idea of people knowing where I live….I live in the UK…that is all anyone needs to know.

  9. avatar Nate Says:

    Very cool.

  10. avatar Jonas Says:

steve: Uhm, you dont have to put the needle on the top of your own roof… You could put it on the parlament or your local cityhall or the house of that guy you never liked or whatever…

    Jonas

  11. avatar Peter Says:

Bennity-san, yes, hello to all our German listeners

    Nathan-san, 9:00?

    Nate-san, how are you?

Steve-san, glad I saw the picture of your beautiful family before you took it down  Why not pick your favorite place in Japan? That seems cool to me  I also live in Kodaira, next building from David.

  12. avatar Nathan Says:

    Steve-san,

I saw where you lived before you took it down, and I am currently re-programming my missile guidance computers

    Jonas-san,

I moved the needle from the zip code default to on top of my room

    Peter-san

  13. avatar steve Says:

Aaaah! come on chaps…You mis-understand…I am not to bothered about chaps and chapettes from this community seeing where in the UK I live…I get paranoid about people just searching through….It does concern me.
Nathan-san….fire away….The insurance money will come in handy…I would like a new home. Hehehehe!
Peter-san. Maybe I will do has you suggest.

  14. avatar Nathan Says:

    Steve-san,

It is understandable! Being cautious with information like that is not unfounded. In fact, I am sure that if I had a family and children, it would be of much more concern to me. I think that Peter-san’s idea was good, as well, though. You can represent yourself in a completely safe way

  15. avatar steve Says:

    Ok Paranoid Steve here…Hehehehehe!
I have reposted myself on Frapper…thought it best not have my family photo just my photo. Maybe I over reacted a little. But anyway…I am on there now.
Plus I also noticed that my blog as the town I live in also…..D’OH!!!!
