More Pictures!

Last Friday, we received a visit from Favianna Rodriguez a talented and sucessful artist from the Bay Area (California)! Everyone at JapanesePod101.com was wowed by her energy level, personality and the fact that she brought us Ghirardelli Chocolates (Gone in 60 seconds)! We can’t thank her enough, as it was great meeting and getting to know her. You can find out more about the talented Favianna-san and her art work by clicking here.
Favianna-san managed to track down some more members of the JapanesePod101.com team. So, we would like to introduce you to Sasahara-sensei, Takase and Jonas.
Starting from the left: Kazunori (JPod101.com’s Alpha-male), Natsuko (holding the Japanese Journal Favianna’s art work appeared in), Favianna, Sasahara-sensei, Takase, Jonas, (kneeling) Sakura(holding half of the o-miyage (souvenir) from Favianna) and Peter(holding half of the o-miyage (souvenir) from Favianna). We hope you enjoy this.
Yoroshiku o-negai shimasu!よろしくおねがいします。

This one is a bit more blurry, but it’s great to see more of the team!
Peter-san has 絶好調 written all over his face

How tall is Kazunori-san?
Thanks for posting pictures. If I weren’t going to be in Japan for about two hours total (in addition to being stuck in the airport), I’d be tempted to pay the office a visit.
Peter looks incredibly happy.
March 7th, 2006 at 7:16 pm
Matt-san,
As any alpha-male should be, Kazunori-san is just above 8 feet tall
By the way, the picture seems clearer on Favianna-san’s blog
March 7th, 2006 at 7:17 pm
Nathan-san: Peter messed up on the aspect rati
so maybe that is the reason it was blurry? Fixed now thoug
Matt-san: Not sure about his height, but I`m 181cm (just under 6 feet i think̷
and we seem to be about the same height.

Jonas-san,
Yeah, I noticed that it seemed better when I reloaded. And I think 181cm is about 5′11″. I’m about 161cm

I love the pictures. It’s great to be able to put faces to the voices that we hear. Keep up the good work, guys.

I think Peter-san is incredibly happy because of the chocolates.
Hey I’d like to visit you guys in October! Let me what you’d like from California and I’ll try my best to “sneak” them in. heehee

Peter, you really need to stop being so blase’ about everything. };->
Actually, I do have a serious question — nothing to do with this photo, though. It seems that some words seem to get a Toukyou-ben pronunciation, while others do not. For example, I hear “iso(ng)gashii,” but “o-kage” — not “o-ka(ng)ge.” Can you expand on this, please?

Great photo.
Mmmmmm! Me thinks Kazunori-san has not moved from that spot or pose, since the last photo you posted
March 8th, 2006 at 3:35 am
Nice to see you all.
I think Kazunori-san has the right attitude for a historic picture like this one.
He resembles to me a Samurai o a Zen monk!. Just the right attitude at every
time : very Japanese.

Whoo hoo! More piccys! I love it.
It’s great to see Jonas this time. All of the ladies are so beautiful ne. I’m so jealous. Kazunori you are so , so pimp. I love his stoic style, sort of like “Yeah I’ll let you take my picture, but I’m too cool to smile.”
Peter, man your energy exudes even through picture. That’s what we love about you. Keep it up.

Yay to the photos
By the way, didn’t you take a picture of Takeya?
You should really enlist him onto the team! He has a great, great voice, which is “nihonjin no koe de choudo ii” (in the aspects of Japanese people’s voice (note: in the male area), it’s just right).
P.S next time you get chocolate, deliver them out through the podcast to the listeners!

Natsuko-san,
So how can I get an autographed picture of you to go on my office wall. You look as wonderful as you sound. You have the most pleasant voice on JapanesePOD101.
I particularly like when you interject a key japanese word or two into the conversation. These are particularly good when repeated in multiple lessons. This is a great way to learn.
Keep up the good work.
ありがとう ございます

P.S. if you ever have contests, or promotions, autographed pictures would be a great prize.
