For everyone who doesn’t take Japanese hockey seriously, let me just tell you that THESE GUYS CAN PLAY! I have personally been slammed, flipped and nailed by some extremely talented players! In particular, if your chatting with someone before the game, and they happen to mention Hokkaido or Aomori, ask for his number and WATCH OUT! Those northern boys can move
Played one year for Hitotsubashi University, and it was some of the best times in my life. Even here you get ice and practice at 2am

I am also looking for Mr. Gen Hamada’s contact.
I am a 5th year student at Kansai University, based in Osaka. I played hockey with Kansai Unversity for 4 years. The university hockey in the Kansai area is pretty good
maybe not as good as Kanto but we are catching up fast! Originally from BC Canada, we might compare to a skill level of Junior B with the speed of Junior A.
There is no kanji for Ice Hockey… only katakana
